There is a Florida connection to some of the bomb-sniffing dogs that will be on patrol with counterterrorism teams for tomorrow's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
The so-called explosive-odor-pursuit dogs received their training in Miami.
The dogs are able to detect odors at greater distances than conventional bomb-sniffing dogs.
Police are planning to be out in force tomorrow but say there is no specific threat to the city or the parade.
