(Tallahassee, FL) -- With two-and-a-half million Floridians expected to hit the road over the Thanksgiving holiday, the highway patrol is reminding them to buckle up.
During Thanksgiving last year, law enforcement agencies statewide worked more than ten-thousand crashes and 105 people lost their lives. Of those fatalities, 19 people were not wearing seatbelts.
Now through Sunday, all available state troopers, along with reserve and auxiliary members, will be patrolling Florida roads to help ensure safe travel.
