Broward Woman Sues Bank For Discrimination

A customer is accusing a Broward County bank of racial discrimination.

Satara Monroe filed a lawsuit two weeks ago against Wells Fargo for an incident three years ago at a Pompano Beach branch.  When the 40-year-old black woman went to cash a check, she claims she was refused because the teller said the check was fake.

She says she was confronted by deputies before her boss got involved and resolved the situation, but Monroe's lawyer tells the Miami Herald this is a case of banking while black.
