Miami-Dade Reserve Officer Arrested for DUI

Cops arresting one of their own in Miramar. The Miami-Dade reserve officer was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday and arrested. Police say Milton Roy Lovett served on the force for 14 years before retiring in 2013.  After the crash Lovett drove off, but later walked back to the scene admitting he hit the victim's car and then parked his car around the corner. First reponders noticed him slurring his speech and smelled alcohol on his breath, and say Lovett admitted to drinking.

He faces charges including DUI, DUI with property damage or damage to a person, resisting an officer with violence, and careless driving.
