It's that time of year again, as you deck the malls, Miami-Dade police officers will be watching.
Operation Grinch Busters is back.
"Make no mistake about it, if you're a criminal, we're out there," says Director Juan Perez.
He stresses uniformed and undercover officers plus tactical units will be stationed at shopping centers and high trafficked areas throughout the county.
"We normally see an increase in active shooter and terrorism in other parts of the world, we're not going to have any of that here," according to Perez.
Perez says you still need to do your part: stay vigilant, park in well lit areas, and call 911 if you feel endangered.
