Here's Where To Celebrate Veteran's Day (All Weekend Long) In Miami

Veteran's Day is this Sunday, Nov. 11, and, in South Florida, you can honor those who served in the U.S. military all weekend long! 

Follow this guide to show your pride and patriotism this weekend in and around Miami.

Saturday, Nov. 10: 

Miami Veterans Day Centennial Salute

A remembrance ceremony begins at 8:30 a.m. at Charlotte Jane Memorial Cemetery, located 3650 Charles Ave. 

A parade begins at 11 a.m. at Grand Ave. and Matilda St. to Armbrister Park with speakers and refreshments

There's also a Fair & Roots Salute Celebration from 1-6 p.m. at the Miami Fire College & Armbrister Park, located at 4000 Grand Ave. Free..

Pinecrest Veterans Day Ceremony

11 am-2 pm at Veterans Wayside Park, located at 11111 Pinecrest Parkway. Includes an honor guard, military veterans’ presentations, musical performances and a picnic lunch. Free. 305-284-0900.

Cutler Bay Veterans Day Breakfast

Sunday, Nov. 11: 

Aventura Veterans Day Ceremony

Begins 10 a.m. at Aventura Government Center, 19200 W. Country Club Dr. 

The ceremony includes local veterans sharing personal reflections, patriotic performances by the Aventura City of Excellence School, a World War II display, as well as participation from local veterans groups.

Pinecrest Veterans Day Ceremony

Takes place from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Veterans Wayside Park, located at 11111 Pinecrest Parkway

Miami Beach Veteran’s Day Parade & Picnic

Beginning at 11:11 am, watch the parade on Ocean Drive from 5th and 14th streets. T

The parade is followed at noon by a demonstration from the All-Veterans Parachute Team on Ocean Drive, and a wreath-laying ceremony and picnic at Lummus Park, located at 1130 Ocean Dr. Free. 305-673-7575.

City of Hialeah Veterans Day Ceremony 

From 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Triangle Park, Palm Ave. and Okeechobee Rd. 

Mayor Carlos Hernandez, the City Council and the Hialeah Veteran’s Affairs Board honor those men and women who have fought for the freedom of this great Country. Take part in commemorating the legacy of profound service and sacrifice the men and women of the United States Armed Forces have upheld in pursuit of liberty. Free.

Florida State Parks

To thank all who have served and sacrificed, all Florida State Parks will grant free entry to all visitors on Nov. 11. Pack a picnic and celebrate this day with your loved ones, or take advantage of the three-day weekend by taking a camping trip. 

Whether your visit lasts a day or the whole weekend, find a park in your area using this Regional Map and spend time outdoors.

Surfside Veterans Day Ceremony 

The festivities begin at 10 a.m. at Veterans Park, located at 8791 Collins Ave. 

The mayor will serve as master of ceremonies and there will be a presentation of colors, local scout troops and guest speakers. Light refreshments. (305) 866-3635.

Doral Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony  

From 9-11 a.m. The parade will begin at 9 a.m. on 33rd street in the parking lot of Aloft & Element Miami Doral Hotels, and end at Veterans Park, 10190 NW 33 St., where the ceremony will then begin.

Miami Springs Veterans Day Ceremony

10-11 a.m. 

All veterans are invited to participate in the ceremony honoring veterans at Miami Springs War Memorial on Curtiss Parkway. 305-805-5075.

The City of North Miami Beach 

...will pay tribute to the men and women who have served our country and those who continue to preserve our freedom.

Monday, Nov. 12: 

Veterans Day Luncheon

 The City of Miami Gardens will be honoring local veterans and active military personnel with a free lunch from noon-2 p.m. at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex, located at 3000 NW 199 St.

56th Annual Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony in Homestead

From 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Ceremony will begin at 11 am at Losner Park, located at 104 N. Krome Ave.

A parade will begin at 12 p.m. along Krome Avenue and Campbell Drive. Bring a chair.

Veterans Day Ceremony and Family Fun Day in the Park

Join the City of North Miami for a fun day in the park honoring veterans. Enjoy music, bounce houses for the kids, family activities and a complimentary picnic style lunch.
