Nearly 5 Million Floridians Cast Votes Ahead Of Election Day

With early voting now over, one out of every three people registered to vote in the Sunshine State have cast their ballot according to officials.

Numbers released Sunday afternoon by the state’s Division of Elections show a total of 4,840,405 people had either taken part in early voting or had mailed in their absentee ballots. 

Another 1.13 million absentee ballots that were requested had not been submitted as of this weekend.

Nearly 13.2 million people are registered to vote in the state of Florida according to the Division of Elections as of September 30th.

Democrats outnumbered Republicans across the state in terms of those who voted early in person, while Republicans held a slight edge among those who submitted absentee ballots early.
