Florida's Department of Corrections is updating location information for nearly 3,000 inmates who had been evacuated from their original locations because of Hurricane Michael.
Corrections officials say their website should be updated by end-of-day Monday to show where inmates are now being housed.
All 2,600 inmates were forced out of Gulf Correctional Institution and another 300 were taken out of parts of Calhoun Correctional.
Prison officials say the evacuations were necessary because of significant building damage and damage to security infrastructure.
Gulf Correctional will stay closed until further notice, along with the Gulf Forestry Camp and a work release center in Panama City.
