Florida Sees Decrease In Over Number Of DUI Deaths

Fewer people are dying in drunk driving crashes in Florida.

Data from the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration shows a 7.3-percent drop in DUI fatalities in 2017. That's 66 fewer deaths.

The welcome news comes after two years of sharp increases in the national death toll blamed on impaired drivers.

Rhode Island saw the biggest spike in DUI deaths, up 78-percent in 2017.
