The Senate Could Vote On Judge Brett Kavanaugh This Weekend

The stage is set for a Friday vote to continue the confirmation process for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell filed a motion to set up a procedural vote on Friday to end debate on the nomination.

That could set up a weekend confirmation vote.

McConnell says the next couple days will offer plenty of time for senators to look over the report from the supplemental FBI investigation into sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh.

Senators will be able to start looking at that report Friday morning.
