Several beaches on Florida’s east coast were closed Sunday and will remain closed until further notice.
All beaches in Martin County and in Palm Beach County from the northern county line to Lake Worth Beach were closed Sunday.
The beach closures began Saturday in northern Palm Beach County after some swimmers experienced medical and other respiratory issues.
Experts believe it could be caused by the wind coupled with the toxic stench from algae.
Health officials have tested the water in those areas and are awaiting the results.
