Local officials say a 3-year-old boy is injured after a dog attack at a home in Cape Coral.
According to news outlets in Fort Myers, the boy was visiting his grandmother at a home on Southwest Santa Barbara Place when he got excited about some items bought for him at a store.
That's when a yellow lab mix in the house attacked him, leaving deep gashes and breaking the boy's leg in two places.
Police say they've been to this home five times this year for animal bite calls.
The owner reported the dog bit another family member eight days before this attack.
The dog is now in a 10-day quarantine at the Lee County Domestic Animal Services kennel.
