A woman is hospitalized in South Florida after being bitten by a shark in the Bahamas.
Authorities say the victim is a 32-year-old woman from Massachusetts who suffered a severe bite to her left hand while spearfishing yesterday afternoon.
She was flown by air ambulance from the Bahamas to Fort Lauderdale.
The woman was then rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, where she was being treated by a trauma surgeon.
