The eleventh named storm of the season is Tropical Storm Kirk. The storm forming south of the Cape Verde Islands. It is moving west at a speed of nearly 14 mph, and is expected to move westward to west-northwestward through tonight. Residents of the Lesser Antilles will need to stay aware of the progress of the storm. It could have an impact sometime late next week according to the National Hurricane Center. The storm is not expected to have any direct effect on the Florida Peninsula.
