The Unemployment Rate Is Lowering In Florida, Says Rick Scott

Fewer people are looking for jobs in the Sunshine State.

The Governor announced on Friday morning that the unemployment rate in Florida remains 3.9 percent.

It has fallen from 3.7 percent to 3.5 percent in Broward and 4.3 percent to 4.1 percent in Miami-Dade.

Twenty-thousand private-sector jobs were added in August statewide... and Rick Scott claims more than 1.6-million jobs were added since December of 2010.

The U.S. unemployment rate was 3.9 percent in August.

In Palm Beach the unemployment rate fell from 4.0 percent to 3.9 percent between July and August.
