Officials Search For WWII Explosives In SoFla Community

Residents of a Vero Beach community were forced from their homes earlier today so that the Army Corps of Engineers could look for explosives that may have been left behind under the soil from World War II.

More than 70-years ago, the Fort Pierce Naval Amphibious Training Base was an important testing ground.

Since then, the land has been developed for residential and commercial purposes.
