Fall Is The New Summer When It Comes To Vacationing, Survey Says

Summer may end this week, but Floridians are still making travel plans.

A new Triple-A survey finds that nearly three-quarters, 73-percent, of Florida residents will take at least one vacation from September through November.

They say they prefer fall travel for several reasons:  cooler weather, lower prices, smaller crowds at popular attractions, and the chance to see fall foliage and colors.

Triple-A says fall travelers planning to take a road trip will find lower gas prices with the nationwide average dropping to $2.70 per gallon.
