Gov. Scott To Make 8th Trip To PR Following Maria

Governor Rick Scott will be in Puerto Rico on Thursday, marking his 8th trip to the island in the year since Hurricane Maria.

The Puerto Rican government extended the invitation to Scott to take part in a number of ceremonies.

Scott recently broke with President Trump when the Commander in Chief accused Puerto Rican officials and Democrats of over-inflating the death toll from the storm.

In his own tweet, Governor Scott said he disagreed with the president, adding, the "extent of lives lost as a result of Maria is heart-wrenching."
