Broward To Vote On Creating Director Of Media Relations Job For Schools

Broward County's school board is voting Tuesday on creating the new job of director of media relations, paying $120,000 a year plus benefits.

The job is one of three newly proposed publicity functions that could cost the school district up to $400,000 a year.

The media relations officer would report to the chief public information officer, who is moving aside to take a job as the district's director of marketing and strategic communications.
