Poll Gives Gillum Latest Advantage Over DeSantis

Florida Democrat Andrew Gillum is enjoying a six-point lead over his Republican rival Ron DeSantis in the latest Rasmussen poll for Florida governor.

Barry University Dr. Sean Foreman says the best news for Gillum is that he's making headway with voters who don't stick to a particular party line.

According to Foreman, DeSantis may be feeling the effects of his controversial  "monkeying it up" comment, but voters may not remember it come election time in November.

The Rasmussen poll shows Gillum has 48-percent support among likely voters compared to 42-percent for DeSantis. Eight-percent of voters remain undecided.
