More than a half-dozen children were hospitalized Friday after authorities say they ate Nicorette at a private daycare in Fort Lauderdale.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded to the scene at Jacklyn Academy on Southwest 27th Avenue , Friday morning.
The seven children were being treated at Broward Health Medical Center.
Firefighters said it's not clear whether the seven children ate the nicotine gum or lozenges.
Their conditions are unknown, however, they were able to walk into the fire rescue trucks without gurneys.
