A debate is now set in what may be the most hotly contested Senate race in the country.
Democratic Senator Bill Nelson and Republican Governor Rick Scott will debate the issues on October 2nd here in Miami.
The debate will be broadcast statewide and is expected to be the first of many before the November election.
The latest Quinnipiac University poll shows both Nelson and Scott tied at 49-percent.
