Rabies Alert Extended For Portions Of Kendall

Residents in Kendall still can't catch a break.... Health officials have yet again extended the rabies alert for another 60 days.

The extention comes after more, local raccoons tested positive for the rabies virus.

Authorities are reminding residents to get all animals vaccinated for Rabies and to keep family members away from any wild animals.

The area affected by the rabies alert includes Southwest 152nd street to the north and Southwest 187th street to the South along with Southwest 117th avenue to east and Southwest 137th avenue to the west.
