Margate Receives Money From FEMA To Recover From Hurricane Irma

The Broward County city of Margate is getting help from Uncle Sam in dealing with Hurricane Irma-related expenses... exactly one year after the storm made landfall in Florida.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has approved more than $1.2 million for Margate.

The money will reimburse the city for removal of vegetative debris as well as construction and demolition debris left by the 2017 storm.
