According to a report by Basketball Society Online, Dwyane Wade may be coming back to the Miami Heat for another season!
With the Heat training camp just over one month away, Wade has still not made a decision about whether he will come back for a 16th season in the NBA. However, the BSO website suggests the three-time NBA champion will sign on for another year.
The Heat have filled 19 of the 20 preseason spots available head of training camp after the news that Udonis Haslem, a longtime friend and teammate of Wade, signed a one year deal with the team.
Speculation has been ramped up about whether the team is holding that final spot for Wade.
Drafted by the team with the fifth overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft after a star-studded college career at Marquette, Wade quickly became a fan favorite by leading Miami to their first NBA title in 2006 – being named Finals MVP in the process.
Wade would team with friends Chris Bosh and LeBron James to lead the Heat to four straight finals, winning two of them, from 2011 to 2014.
Wade left in free agency during the summer of 2016 to sign with his hometown Chicago Bulls. After one season. Wade teamed up again with James and the Cleveland Cavaliers before being traded back to Miami before the deadline earlier this year.
