Former Miami Parking Administrator Taking Plea For Screwing With Email

The former administrator for the Miami Parking Authority is taking a plea deal on charges that he staged the sending of a critical email.

Rolando Tapanes allegedly forgot to send an email related to a development project.

But his crime was backdating the email to try and cover his tracks.

Tapanes was charged with official misconduct.

His plea deal includes probation and $50,000 in restitution.

Tapanes resigned in 2016 when the allegation first surfaced.
