A California man is suing Miami-Dade County, accusing police of negligence, false imprisonment, and battery.
According to the Miami New Times, Michael Kimmel was arrested at the airport when he stopped to check on a seatmate who was being questioned by police.
Police told Kimmel to back off, but when he refused he was arrested.
Prosecutors dropped the charge of disorderly intoxication six-months after the 2013 arrest.
