Collier County man is facing charges after taking his girlfriend on a boat for a dinner date... a boat that isn't his, to be exact.
According to NBC 2 News in Fort Myers, Naples police arrested Ronald Burton near the Naples Bay Resort Wednesday.
Investigators say a boat cleaner at the resort reported seeing Burton leaving the boat several times over the past month.
The boat's owner called police earlier this month to report a burglary after she found empty liquor bottles, $1,000 in damage to the toilets and a missing cooler.
Police say they interviewed Burton's girlfriend, who says he took her on the boat for a date, and told her the entire time that it was his.
He's being held on a $10,000 bond.
