Broward To Recount Ballots For School Board Seat, Judgeship

Two elections will need to be decided by another round of counting in Broward County.

Elections officials announced that recounts will take place this weekend for a school board seat and a judgeship.

The school board race recount will determine if Donna Korn got the majority needed to avoid a runoff in November against Ryan Petty, whose daughter was killed in the Parkland school shooting.

The recount of the judgeship is needed because incumbent Michael Usan has a lead of just about 300 votes over challenger Richard Kaplan.
