Rain Chances Increase Throughout Labor Day In South Florida

If you’ve got outdoor plans during the Labor Day weekend, you might want to think up a backup plan.

Rain is in the South Florida forecast through the holiday on Monday.

What could decide whether the holiday weekend is a washout is a tropical wave currently off the Lesser Antilles.

Current models are not in agreement about possible development into a tropical depression, so a “wait and see” mode is in place.

The chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms increases as the weekend goes on, jumping from 30 percent on Thursday to 50 percent by Saturday and 60 percent on Monday.
