Florida Cow Tests Positive For Rare Stain Of Mad Cow

Mad Cow Disease is back... and it's in Florida.

A beef cow, which was deemed not suitable for slaughter, was tested under the USDA surveillance system.

The USDA says it tested positive for a rare strain of Mad Cow, which seems to appear spontaneously, as opposed to being spread through contaminated feed.

This is the sixth cow - since the mid-1980s - to test positive for Mad Cow in the United States and first for Florida.

State agriculture officials claim there is no risk to people.
