An African-American organization is defending Florida's Republican candidate for governor Ron DeSantis against accusations of racism.
The Black Republican Caucus of Florida announced on Wednesday that it is endorsing DeSantis.
Chairman Sean Jackson said he has personally known the congressman for many years and it sickens him to see "how the left is attempting to paint him as something that he is not."
DeSantis was criticized by some for telling voters during an interview yesterday not to "monkey this up" by electing Andrew Gillum - the Democrats' African-American nominee for governor.
