Move over Miami Hurricanes and Florida Panthers, there will soon be another football program to cheer for in South Florida.
St. Thomas University President Dave Armstrong tells South Florida First News that the team has already finalized their first schedule.
The St. Thomas Football organization held a press conference Tuesday afternoon to detail their upcoming season.
Armstrong calls Miami a football mecca and believes it's only natural to give our high schoolers another opportunity to take their careers to the next level while staying close to home.
The Bobcats will begin Spring Practice in the Spring of 2019 with games beginning in the Fall of 2019. STU, a full-time member of The Sun Conference and the NAIA, will compete in the Mid-South Conference in the sport of Football.
