Florida-Based #9PMRoutine Goes Viral Across Nation

Local authorities across the nation are joining a nationwide effort that began in Florida to remind people to lock their doors every night at nine o'clock.

The #9pmRoutine campaign was launched last year by the Sheriff's Office in Pasco County, Florida, as a way to cut down on easily preventable burglaries.

It's gone viral on social media, drawing police participation in departments from Alaska to Alabama and Minnesota to Maine.

Now, the Denville, New Jersey, police department is taking to Twitter reminding New Jerseyans to lock up at nine o'clock.
