An early morning crash involving three cars near Homestead has resulted in the death of at least one person and the hospitalization of several more.
Multiple people were brought to the hospital Tuesday morning after a violent car crash near Homestead.
Rescue crews arrived at the scene along Southwest 112h Avenue between 268th Street and Florida’s Turnpike just before 6 a.m.
At the scene, multiple damaged vehicles could be seen including one car on its roof and split in half.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said a total of five people were involved, with three being identified as trauma alerts including reports of one being a teenager.
Another patient was also taken to an area hospital according to officials.
