Authorities say a Miami Gardens man was rushed to the hospital early Tuesday morning after being shot in the arms, legs and chest during an alleged armed robbery attempt.
The victim, 62-year-old Dorrel Anderson, was in his car after returning to his home near NE 211th Terrace when two men allegedly tried to steal his wallet.
According to police, he victim fled in his car while the men opened fire, causing Anderson to crash into a pole.
One of the men reportedly approached the car and shot the man in the chest before fleeing the scene.
Anderson was taken to Aventura Hospital in stable condition.
