Florida Decides 2018: Miami Dade Results

Maria Elvira Salazar has won the nomination in District 27 in the race to replace the retiring Ileana Ros-Lehtinen on the republican ticket. Salazar faced several attacks for her past interviews with Fidel Castro, but she says the voters got the bigger picture. On the Democrat side, Donna Shalala has won the nomination.

In the race for the Miami-Dade Commission, Commissioners .Jose "Pepe" Diaz, Javier Souto, Daniella Levine Cava, Rebeca Sosa, and Jean Monestime have all won. There were two races for the School District, and both Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall in District 2 and Perla Hantman in District 4 have won their seats.

The question of a millage increase for Hialeah has failed, while the Jungle Island hotel project is passing at 59%.
