A man is dead after being tased by Miami Police.
According to officials, the incident happened on Northeast 79th Street and Biscayne Blvd. at about 4:40 a.m.
Police said they observed a man who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and acting irrationally in the middle of the street.
That’s when police said the person became combative and pulled a knife on officers.
Police then deployed their taser guns on the person. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead an hour later.
An investigation is now underway.
