Florida Primaries Set For Tuesday

Primaries are set for the Sunshine State tomorrow (Tuesday).

In Florida, former U.S. Health Secretary Donna Shalala is trying to get back in the game.

Shalala wants the House seat of retiring Republican Congresswoman Ileana Ros Lehtinen.

Fellow Democrat David Richardson aims to stop her in the Florida primary.

Florida voters tomorrow will select the nominees for governor, agriculture commissioner, attorney general, and several congressional seats.

One-point-nine Floridians have already voted early or voted by mail.  That tops turnout for the last primary in 2016, a presidential election year.

Nearly 65,000 people have voted early in Broward County, the most in Florida.

Miami-Dade is second in votes by mail, just behind Pinellas County.
