Ft. Lauderdale Commission Rejects River Tower Plans, Company Will Appeal

A big decision by Fort Lauderdale officials will likely lead to a legal challenge.

The city commission on Tuesday night rejected plans for the Alexan-Tarpon River tower on Southeast 6th Ave.

Neighbors opposed the project, which was designed to be 21 stories high.

The developer's lawyers tell the South Florida Sun Sentinel they plan to appeal the vote.
