Miami-Dade Helpline Calls Increase With Homelessness Risk

Officials in Miami-Dade say calls to a help hotline have increased over the last several months as more and more people in the county have been at risk of being homeless.

The hotline at Camillus House – a non-profit humanitarian agency – has been running for more than a decade. 

Miami-Dady numbers show there has been an overall increase in calls from people who are either about to become or are at an imminent risk of being homeless.
