A pedestrian was struck and killed early Wednesday in a crash in Hollywood.
According to police, the fatal crash occurred about 5:30 a.m. in the 4800 block of Hollywood Boulevard.
At the scene, a body could be seen covered by a sheet.
Hollywood police officials said the driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The pedestrian's identity hasn't been released.
Authorities urge drivers to avoid the area between 46th and 48th avenues during the investigation.
