Florida Man Accidentally Receives Pro Golfer's $155K Payout

A Florida man says he mistakenly received a professional golfer's winnings in his bank account.

Thomas Fleetwood told local news outlets in Orlando that he got a bank notice last weekend showing a deposit in his account of nearly $155-thousand from the PGA European Tour.

The money was meant for golfer Tommy Fleetwood, who finished tied for 33rd in the British Open.

Thomas Fleetwood is a teaching golf pro.

He says the PGA European Tour had his account information because he applied to play on the European tour's senior circuit.

The PGA contacted Thomas and told him about its mistake. He returned the money.
