FDA Investigating US E. Coli Breakout

Federal health officials say run-off from a cattle farm likely caused a major spring E. coli outbreak.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) believes romaine lettuce grown in Yuma, Arizona, may have been contaminated by water from a nearby canal.

More than 200 people in 36 states fell ill, nearly 100 were hospitalized and five died from the huge bacterial outbreak.

The FDA is still investigating the case.
