Facebook is denying reports that it wants to access your bank records.
The Wall Street Journal reported this week that the social media giant asked banks to provide information like account balances and recent transactions.
Facebook said it only accesses financial information that users opt in to use in their Messenger app.
They say the information would only be available for customers who try to communicate with their bank through Facebook Messenger.
