Sen. Bill Nelson Meets With Teachers, Educators Ahead Of School Year

Florida's U.S. Senator Bill Nelson met with South Florida educators and school leaders on Monday in anticipation of the fast-approaching new school year. 

The Florida Democrat met with educational leaders to discuss issues facing the new school year and to see what progress is being made to accommodate students who have moved here from Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria.  

The meeting took place Monday afternoon at 12:45 at the teachers union headquarters in Miami.
