Musician Kicked Off Miami Flight Because Of Her Cello

A musician says she was kicked off an American Airlines flight in Miami because of her musical instrument.

Jingjing Hu, a student at DePaul University in Chicago, had flown to Miami for a music festival.

Hu says she purchased an extra seat for her $30-thousand cello.

However, Hu was asked to get off the plane because the cello was too big for the seat.

American Airlines said the incident was a miscommunication.

To clear up the incident, the airline rebooked Hu on a larger aircraft with meal and hotel accommodations taken care of.
