A Miami man is behind bars after authorities said he used a speargun to poach lobsters.
Officials say 27-year-old Denny Llopiz was caught on Saturday. According to officials, Llopiz was fishing from the Long Key Bridge in Monroe County.
Inside his cooler, officials found nine lobsters, seven of which were undersized.
Not only is it illegal to spearfish for lobsters, but Llopiz also caught them out of season.
Lobster season officially began today (Monday) and ends on March 31st.
