Family Of 5 Rescued From Rip Current In Miami Beach

A Florida family of five is safe after lifeguards pulled them out of strong currents off Miami Beach.  

Local news outlets report that dozens of witnesses watched the rescue Thursday afternoon near Collins Avenue and 17th Street in South Beach.  

The family caught in the rip currents included two children aged 10 and 11.  

Lifeguards pulled all of them out of the water. Authorities then rushed all five to a nearby hospital.  

According to responding officials, one woman in the group went into cardiac arrest.  

So far, there's been no update on her condition.
