The Senate could vote on Tuesday afternoon on a plan to extend the National Flood Insurance Program.
The program is scheduled to end at midnight tonight, but the Senate is poised to pass a House bill that would extend the program by four months.
Without the extension, the NFIP would be unable to write any new policies....putting many real estate closings on hold.
